When we had a stop in the Colca Canyon, we were given to taste … the CACTUS! People used to eat it because of living in a desert!
Another great and one of our favorite Bocas del Toro restaurants is La Casbah! Awesome food! From the first glance this place looks too simple and has nothing for been attracted to eat there. BUT! Once you eat there you will want to come back and try something new :)
Nevertheless we stayed in the resort each time we went to Bocas for having dinner. It was our romantic time to leave the place where we lived for hanging out and enjoying some good food…
One of the best places to eat in Bocas is Ultimo Refugio! Food is incredible! Seriously! It is SO good, healthy, tasty, unique and … it changes on a daily basis! Mmmmm, if you try it I bet you will love it as we do! :)
Who does like croissants? - Clinton loves the croissants!
Is it true? - Uh-huh :) …
I had to check what is SO great about croissants that Clinton loves them so much! So this was our breakfast one day :)
You know what… I can’t tell they were bad, because they were really good and tasty!… But all the same I wouldn’t love them so much… and it is because I am addicted to other things (like chocolate and candies) :P
So… Anyway! It just reminds me again about one great thought … that …
TASTES DIFFER :)
There is a phrase: “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper”
Knowing this statement, sometimes I like to share Clinton’s dinner with him. But I realize now that it is not always good idea because you never know what the size of your dish will be. So here are photos from our dinner when “sharing” wasn’t enough even for Clinton. Although it wasn’t too bad because, to my mind, it is better to feel a bit lack of food than overeat at night time.
Our breakfast once :) Few times we ate here in the “Holly Brown”. It gives variety of options for eating nevertheless it is mostly focused on making coffee (we do not drink it).
Our breakfast next day! Some yogurt, nuts, fruits and juice for both and … typical order of croissants for Clinton who enjoys them so much :P
It was good and satisfying lunch in “Sala Thai Restaurant” what is well decorated by Thai wooden “Sala” (what means pavilion in Thai), rattan furniture and colorful silk cushions, making itself a comfortable and graceful environment. You can experience an extensive array of authentic Thai specialties ranging from exotic appetizers, fresh salads, vegetables, seafood, Thai style noodles and rice to its signature dishes – Tom yam kung and Deep fried crab with Thai herbs, all are ready to tease and excite the senses of taste, smell and sight :)
p.s. Nevertheless I am not fan of Thai Food I enjoyed eating in “Sala Thai Restaurant”.
Have you known that girls/women are more tidy than boys/men? At least in eating their food :)
Here is an interesting comparison: my and Clinton’s napkins on our knees while our breakfast. Guess where is mine and where is his? :) It is easy to find! lol
Besides it is SO “event” when Clinton doesn’t spill his food during having meal! Although so far he is making progress and is cleaner (what I am proud of :) ), I like to make fun over this fact that he eats fast spilling food :) It sounds like:
- Have you spilled already?
- I am not surprised :) You are Clinton and you always spill :)
- You haven’t spilled yet? Wow! I am amazed! :)
p.s. He tells that spilling on table is not considered as spilling! :p
In Hong Kong we stayed in the “W Hong Kong” hotel. We loved it a lot! Awesome hotel with incredible rooms, service, food and everything what can be in a hotel :)
Breakfast is not included but if you eat there you will be amazed by the quality of food! Here is our order: natural squeezed juices (grapefruit-orange and kiwi), plain yogurt with strawberry and crispy croissants.
Besides croissants due to Clinton’s opinion who is expert in them were of really high quality :)
This is our last dinner from Guatemala trip… And this is the last impression we can share with you from it…
Our dinner was in “Saberico” restaurant what looks like very pretty outside&inside courtyard for eating. We loved everything about it! And so can recommend you to stay there for a dinner when you are in Antigua :)
Restaurant “Tartines” in Antigua is great choice to have a lunch or dinner! Unique view from the balcony on the second floor, good service and excellent food didn’t leave us indifferent!
You could notice already that Clinton and I pay high attention to place where we eat and food there. It doesn’t mean that we are too picky in choosing. We just like to enjoy really good meal and everything what is around us while we are eating:
- good atmosphere what is not of glam style but really nice and comfortable;
- quality but not bothering service;
- healthy and tasty food made from fresh grade ingredients.
This is enough for feeling happy and satisfied with good lunch or dinner.
In Antigua we found few placed where we loved to eat. One of them is “Bistrot 5 Sinq”! It is SO good place! Atmosphere, service and organic food provided by local farmers and fishermen were just incredible! We really suggest you to visit it when you are in Antigua!
p.s. There are papers instead of tablecloths and pencils on the tables! You use them for entertaining yourselves before getting your dishes. Best pictures are represented on the walls around the restaurant :)
After visiting “ChocoMuseo” we were going to have a lunch. Randomly we found “Santa Maria Cafe”. It was tiny place. Very simple. Very affordable. With fast service, simple dishes but generally pretty good meal. Fish (or chicken/meat) was grilled but not too much. And there was a bunch of steamed vegetables. So … We liked it!
p.s. You can read a bit more here, where I share the same opinion about this place :)
